Because of this, there are all kinds of holiday-related events to consider checking out, whether you’re on your own or with a group of family members or friends.

Here are three great fun holiday events to consider checking out in the city of Fort Worth.

Christmas Events

  • One exciting event is the debuting Lightscape, which takes place at the Botanic Gardens from November 18 all the way through January 8. This special event will see the gardens filled with more than a million beautiful lights, and a path that measures one mile in length will also feature tunnels and suspended strands of light. You will also be able to enjoy additional features such as a fire garden, bluebonnets, treetop sculptures, and various types of artistic installations. Refreshments such as hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows will also be offered to visitors along the trail.

  • The Modern Lights, which takes place from November 25 until February 5, takes place at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and celebrates 125 years of the museum’s existence. This event will feature trees filled with lights on the grounds of the museum. A new dinner series will be offered this year by Cafe Modern. As part of Dinner with the Modern Lights – which occurs Fridays from 5:00 PM until 8:30 PM, Executive Chef Jett Mora will be on hand to prepare creative dishes, all made with 100% Texas ingredients. Reservations for this special event can be made online.

Family Activities

  • Lasting from November 24 until January 1, consider checking out the Gift of Lights at Texas Motor Speedway. Costing only $35 per carload, you will be able to enjoy all of the beautiful lights without even having to leave your car, meaning that you and your family can remain comfortable throughout the entire experience. There will also be some special themed nights as part of this year’s events, including Pajama Night, Pet Night, Christmas Sweater Night, and even a special Military/First Responder Night.
